About Us

Ian Grant Law

Ian graduated from Otago University with a BA / LLB having attended Southland Boys High School.

Ian has worked in the law in Wanganui, London, Invercargill and has settled in Alexandra to raise his family.

In London, Ian worked as Corporate Solicitor (General Counsel) and Company Secretary for a joint venture company owned by 13 European Airlines which was set up to establish a loyalty card programme. This role was one which required a practical approach to the law and advice that was tailored to the various departments of the business and not to an academic legal journal.

"I believe that my experience as a Corporate Solicitor has given me a more practical view on everyday issues. Most people don't want and don't understand the spin. They just want to know the legal position in real terms".

Ian has now lived and worked in Central Otago for over 13 years and the firm of Ian Grant Law has been trading as such for over 5 years.

"We hope to deliver a personal, practical and accessible service to our clients and that such a mixture will give comfort and trust to our regular and growing clientele".
